Log in to EKU Direct and retrieve your email

Your EKU Direct account will be used throughout your time at EKU. This account will be used to register for courses, accept financial aid, order textbooks, pay your bills and more. To log in to your EKU Direct account, sign in to your status portal at the below link and follow the instructions under the EKU Direct tab.

Your student email address will also be listed in your status portal. Your student email account is what you will use to communicate with university officials, such as advisors and instructors. All communications will be sent through this account. Learn more about your student email account at the link below.

You will need to check this account daily. You can have your EKU email account forwarded to a personal account you use frequently by contacting IT at (859) 622-3000.

Note: Always include your EKU Student ID number with any email you send to the faculty or staff at EKU.

Accessing your DegreeWorks audit

It is imperative that you know how to access and understand your degree audit. Your audit shows every university requirement and whether or not that requirement has been met. Please access DegreeWorks through EKU Direct and familiarize yourself with this audit.

To access your DegreeWorks audit follow these steps:

  1. Log onto EKU Direct at the website http://www.eku.edu/online/help.php
  2. Click on “Student Services & Financial Aid”
  3. Click on “Student Records”
  4. Click “EKU DegreeWorks”

It is the responsibility of the student to make sure that their audits are correct.

Blackboard instructions for PC users

Blackboard is one of your most important tools during your time at EKU. This will be your primary classroom and connection to your assignments. For best results PC users should use the most recent version of Mozilla Firefox. Other browsers have mixed successes displaying everything on the site correctly.

Please never use Internet Explorer it is the most problematic.

Please never use Safari it is the most problematic particularly when it comes to file attachments.
