Handshake
Handshake is a database of full-time, part-time, seasonal and internship positions filtered and maintained by the Center for Career and Co-op. Handshake lists positions from local, national, and international organizations. It also serves as the portal through which you can schedule in person or virtual appointments with the center for career and co-op to have your resume reviewed and/or schedule a mock interview. It is also the first place you can check for career fairs, interviews, and other career-related events happening on or around campus. Most importantly, Handshake is offered at more than 500 colleges and universities, so it gives you access to a national network of hiring employers. Handshake is accessible through a user-friendly app that you download on your mobile device.  To get started, log onto Handshake at EKU.joinhandshake.com using your student email (mymail) credentials and set up a profile. When creating your personal profile, be sure to include the following:

  1. Add your work experience
  2. Add your education
  3. Add any projects and extracurricular(s) you would like to mention to future employers
  4. Follow your favorite employers
  5. Uploaded your most current and up to date resume. Once your resume is approved by the center for career & coop it will be active for all employers connected with Handshake to see.
