40 years of operations and safety experience at all levels of management, which includes years of field-work. Mr. Shaw is retired from a major petroleum company but has been employed by companies in the areas of general industry, construction, pipeline, terminals and trucks, refining, mining, corporate, consulting, and maritime industries. He has experience in lockout/tagout, confined space entry, emergency response, scaffolding, soil mechanics, auditing, OSHA compliance and regulatory standards, and incident investigations.

Mr. Shaw holds professional certifications as a Certified Safety Professional and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager at the senior level. He is a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, and the American Waterways Organization. In addition, he earned a Master of Science degree in Safety Management from Marshall University.

Mr. Shaw is a retired military veteran with 25 years of honorable service. Some of his duties while serving included US Army Special Forces, Senior Drill Sergeant, Cavalry Scout, Senior Tank Commander, and Body Guard.
