Will my credits still count?

Many courses will still count toward your major, especially if you attended EKU within the last 5 years. Some requirements may have changed, so be sure to check with your advisor.

How will I know which courses I need to earn my degree?

Your advisor will help you determine which courses you need to finish your degree based on your academic transcript and the university catalog. You will work with your advisor to develop a personalized graduation plan that will help you achieve your goals.

How much does it cost to attend?

  • EKU Online tuition is billed at a flat rate regardless of residential status.
  • Tuition can vary by program and additional costs may include fees for online proctoring services, lab fees and technology fees.

Can I get financial aid?

  • Many of our students qualify for financial aid, even after a long break in their higher education. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to see if you are eligible for help paying for college.

What is satisfactory academic progress?

  • To continue receiving federal student aid, you need to meet satisfactory academic progress (SAP) requirements. In other words, you must make good enough grades, and complete enough classes (credits, hours, etc.), to keep moving toward successfully completing your degree or certificate in a time that’s acceptable to your school.

How do I re-apply for admission?

  • Undergraduate students:
    • Fill out the free online application.
    • Submit your high school transcripts to the Office of Admissions.
    • Submit ACT or SAT scores (not required but encouraged for determining appropriate course placement).
  • Graduate students:
    • Fill out the free online application.
    • Provide official entrance exam scores (GRE, MAT or GMAT), if applicable.
    • Provide official undergraduate transcripts (if not an EKU graduate).
    • Submit letters of recommendation, if required for the academic program
  • Some programs may have additional application requirements. Contact your enrollment advisor to learn of any specific requirements for your program.

Do I need to re-submit my transcripts?

Transcripts remain on file at EKU for 5 years. If you attended another institution after you last attended EKU, you will need to submit transcripts from that institution.
