How has earning this degree changed or aided your career?

It’s an advancement! Better career, better pay, better life.

What motivated you to get this degree?

A lack of personal advancement.

What was your favorite part or the highlight of your time as an EKU Online student?

Some classes such as Chemistry were so well taught it was easy to learn and retain. The reference material was so abundant, it was so much better than just a book and a lecture.

How did the EKU Online faculty aid in your success?

They want your success. It’s important to them. They were always there to answer questions and keep my progress going.

What did you find surprising about the program?

There is a better way of learning than the traditional book and lecture. Many teaching institutions seem to hold back from giving too much reference material forcing the student to have to work harder than necessary. It’s like they believe that unless the student works hard obtaining his/her own references, it isn’t learning. The online program forfeits this idea and gives you all you need to actually learn. I was surprised at how much better online learning is from the traditional book and lecture platform.

What advice would you give to someone who is looking to become an EKU Online student?

EKU is a great education facility. They care about your success. They understand the value of online learning and take advantage of it in every way possible to make sure you learn and retain.

Any other comments?

I actually enjoyed my time at EKU. I appreciate the education I received there and feel it was better than had I went to a traditional book and lecture curriculum.
