The Eastern Kentucky University Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) proudly announces that it will host the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Southeast Conference in April 2023. This allows the department to have another opportunity to provide its enthusiastic support and contributions to the computing society.

About the Association for Computing Machinery

ACM is the world’s largest computing society. It brings together educators, researchers, and professionals to promote technical innovations and professional growth in the field of computing. Each year, ACM sponsors conferences, workshops, and symposia around the world to offer venues to share cutting-edge research and discoveries in a broad range of computing disciplines. The ACMSE Conference is one such event.  The conference runs annually. Additionally, it provides an excellent forum for students, faculty, researchers, and industry practitioners to present their research in a friendly and dynamic atmosphere in all areas of computer science.

ACMSE 2023 is currently calling for high-quality papers to be submitted for potential presentations and publications in its proceedings. Scholars and industry practitioners are welcome to submit proposals for tutorials/workshops. These should address fundamental, advanced, and emerging topics in computing and related fields. The conference committee is also actively seeking sponsorship from academic institutions, industries, businesses, and government agencies.

Master of Science in Computer Science

Students in the master of science in computer science program are encouraged to participate in the conference by submitting their papers and posters and/or attending the conference technical program and workshops online. This will provide unique experience for students to share their innovative work and research completed during their graduate program in the Artificial Intelligence in Data Science, Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, and Game Design concentrations, as well as to gain a bird’s eye view of the advances of research and technologies in a variety of computing disciplines.
