Regan Paige is a student at Eastern Kentucky University pursuing her bachelor’s of business administration in management online. She currently works as an AP Analyst at Beam Suntory. She recently shared her thoughts about her EKU Online experience.
How has earning a business degree changed or aided your career?
It’s helped open doors for me that I wouldn’t have otherwise been able to do.
What motivated you to get a business degree?
My daughter. I had her when I was young and had initially had to drop out. When I was twenty-four, I knew we were both meant to have a better life and by going to school I could better provide that. It also shows her that no matter how hard life gets, as long as we persevere, we will get to where we’re meant to go.
What was your favorite part or the highlight of your time as an EKU Online student?
Online school is its own experience. It helped me overcome challenges that I would have had to face in a traditional setting, but by going online it forced me to work harder. It was up to me to hold myself accountable and it gave me the extra determination I needed.
How did the EKU Online faculty aid in your success?
They were always available when I reached out and helped me obtain the resources I needed.
What did you find surprising about the program?
How fast it went by. I feel like it was just yesterday I started.
What advice would you give to someone who is looking to become an EKU Online student?
To push yourself. Set reminders, hold yourself accountable.
